He has been selected for several prestigious talent programs, including the National Shennong Leading Talents Program, the Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences’ Agricultural Science and Technology Leading Talents Program, and the Chutian Talents Program. His research focuses on green and efficient processing technologies and equipment for rapeseed. Addressing issues such as dark color, poor quality, and prominent safety risks associated with traditional rapeseed processing techniques, he has developed key technologies and equipment—including on-site rapeseed drying, high-efficiency sorting, microwave-assisted cell-wall disruption for flavor enhancement, low-residue cold pressing, and low-temperature physical refining—resulting in the production of high-quality rapeseed oil and premium protein meal that are safe, nutritious, and superior in color, aroma, taste, texture, and functionality. These innovations have been demonstrated and applied in over 100 oilseed processing enterprises and cooperatives nationwide, yielding significant economic and social benefits. His work provides strong technical support for upgrading and enhancing the oilseed industry, promoting the integrated development of primary, secondary, and tertiary industries, revitalizing rural areas, and advancing Healthy China initiatives. As a principal contributor, he has received one Second Prize for National Scientific and Technological Progress, three First Prizes for Hubei Provincial Scientific and Technological Progress, and two Excellent Patent Awards from China. As the first author, he has also won one First Prize for Technology Promotion in Hubei Province and one Outstanding Science and Technology Innovation Award from the Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences.
